Faleceu no início da noite de domingo, 17, o empresário Flodoaldo Pontes Pinto Filho, aos 71 anos, de complicações decorrentes da covid-19. Ele estava internado há aproximadamente 30 dias em um hospital particular da capital.De acordo com fontes do Rondonoticias, “Flodoaldinho”, como chamado, era de família tradicional de Porto Velho, contraiu coronavirus juntamente com sua esposa que se recuperou da doença.Ainda segundo a fonte, na tarde de sábado, 16, ele teve uma melhora súbita de saúde e chegou até a fazer uma ligação (chamada de vídeo) para a filha para falar da boa nova de sua saúde.Flodoaldo era geólogo, e primeiro filho do saudaso Flodoaldo Pontes Pinto, seringalista e bem sucedido empresário na extração de minério (cassiterita) e, também, proprietário da antiga Mineração Massangana. Era ex-proprietário da empresa Águas Caiari.
